We are very thankful for the love Smith has shown us over the past few seasons in the grassroots program! As we grow further into new terrain and bigger objectives on our snowboards, we are eager to provide Smith with the kind of expertise and professionalism that accompanies us on every trip. Years of support from our partners have built our experience in the mountains. With passion we continue expanding and ask for your support to grow along with us. Allowing our diverse set of skills to support Smith’s philosophies and goals.
Our contributions to SMITH include:
- Product development, design input, and feedback
- Original marketing content for print and online publications
- Brand ambassadorship, with emphasis on relationship/family-oriented customers

Backstory:

F
rom our home to our art, we are a mountain couple that has dedicated our everyday life to the simple nature of living in the backcountry.

It started in 2004. We were 16 year-old love-struck snowboarders who dreamt of making our life in vast expanses of wilderness. We got married, bought some land, and, at age 23, started building our dream cabin in the Wasatch Mountains—accessible only by boards or snow machines in the winter.

We’ve each logged 15 years of backcountry snowboarding, most of which have been spent exploring and learning together. The feeling of raw, pure, chilling, joy that is shared between mountain partners has brought so much value into our lives and is worth sharing with the world. We’ve notched 20,000-foot days, racked up months of glacier camping, constructed snow shelters, charted Alaskan wilderness, and vowed to return safely every night.

We’re fortunate to live and breathe the mountains daily—a gratitude that inspires us to share the significance of the outdoors with those who are apt to explore and lift their vibrations. With multiple expeditions in draft for Winter 16-17, we would be honored not only continue our partnership but plan our missions with a budget in mind. We are proud to continue wearing the Smith logo—a symbol of our mutual interests in progressive riding, innovate lines, and free-spirited stories—as we set out to expand our heights and our hearts.

With intent to inspire,

Zach and Cindi Lou Grant
